- LONACONING -- William Henry Berry, 75, of 90 Jackson Street, a town councilman here for 18 years, died Sunday afternoon at his home.
A retired coal miner, he was the husband of Mrs. Mary Ellen DeVault Berry. They observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary several years ago.
Mr. Berry was a member of Local 2835, United Mine Workers of America. A native of Barton, he was the song of the late Charles and Hannah Quinn Berry.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Albert Wagner of Westernport, and Mrs. John E. Wills of Potomac Park; three sons, Charles W. Berry, at home; Ervin Berry of Morgantown, and James Berry of Lonaconing; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Dohme of Lonaconing, and Mrs. Charles Morris of Akron, and four grandchildren.
The body is at the residence.
