- WESTERNPORT,MARYLAND - Genevieve Loretta Wagner, 94, of the Grandview Apartments, Westernport, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland.
Born Sept. 23, 1904, in Lonaconing, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Mary Ellen (DeVault) Berry. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wagner.
Mrs. Wagner retired from the Celanese Corp. with 30 years of service, and she worked at Wagner's Drugstore, Westernport. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, W.Va.
She is survived by one son, George W. Wagner, Westernport; one sister, Mary Catherine Wills, Potomac Park; four grandsons, Albert Wagner, Mechanicsburg, Va., George Wagner, Elkton, John Wagner, Grand Forks, N.D., and Jim Wagner, Westernport; a nephew, Joseph Wagner, Cumberland; three great-grandchildren, William Charles Wagner, Hannah Elaine Wagner and Timothy Michael Wagner.
The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont, on Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Jarrett officiating.
Mrs. Wagner will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
